PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard will be useful to people who are required to make jewellery using wire weaving techniques.

People credited with this unit standard are able to:
  • Prepare selected wire according to traditional design specifications.
  • Make a bangle.
  • Make a cuff.
  • Finish the bangle and cuff.

    The fastening mechanisms are attached in terms of the job requirements.

    The consequences of applying the wrong fastening mechanisms and thus deviating from the design specifications are described in terms of the potential impact on productivity, quality, customer satisfaction and cost.
