PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
Individuals qualifying against this unit standard will be able to coach the game of netball to players with a good understanding of the sport. In addition, the individuals will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the game of netball, coaching the technical and strategic principles of the sport and will be able to prepare for, deliver and review coaching sessions.
Individuals will be able to demonstrate the skills and competencies required to coach intermediate to advanced players of the game and in so doing, will be able to design, implement and evaluate the process and outcome of long term coaching performance on advanced players. Learners qualifying against this unit standard may apply coaching skills in a school, community club or organization in the capacity of performance level coaches, senior club and school coaches or provincial coaches.
