This unit standard is intended for persons who sell products for which credit decisions need to be made. Persons credited with this unit standard will be required to collect and verify the customer's financial information and record the customer's financial profile.

1. The financial information required from the customer is collected according to the bank's guidelines. 
ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
Including but not limited to proof of income, balance sheet information, banking details.
 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. The receipt of all relevant financial information is verified with the customer, to ensure that it is complete according to the bank's guidelines. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The contractual capacity of the customer is ascertained in line with the bank's requirements. 
ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
Including but not limited to marital status, age, residential status/domicile, legal accountability.

Record the customer's financial profile.

1. The full range of credit checks is conducted according to the bank's requirements.

2. All relevant personal and financial information is recorded in the appropriate system.

UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
1. Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.

2. Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.

3. Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA according to the moderation guidelines in the relevant qualification and the agreed ETQA procedures.

Therefore anyone wishing to be assessed against this unit standard may apply to be assessed by any assessment agency, assessor or provider institution which is accredited by the relevant ETQA.

    To organise and manage oneself and one's activities responsibly and effectively when the full range of credit checks is conducted according to the bank's requirements. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO COMMUNICATING 
    To communicate effectively using visual, mathematical and language skills in the modes of oral and written presentations when the financial information required from the customer is collected according to the bank's guidelines. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO SCIENCE 
    To use science and technology effectively and critically (showing responsibility towards the environment and health of others) when all relevant personal and financial information is recorded in the appropriate system.
