PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for people who process customer requests for moveable asset based accounts. Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to process requests for manual debit orders, process refund requests, process customer requests for paid up letters, process customer requests to take vehicle out of RSA, process requests for auditors statements and process settlement quotations.

1. The customer's banking details are checked in accordance with company specific procedures. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. The transaction is noted on the customers records as per company specific requirements. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The entries are prepared in accordance with the customers instruction and company specific procedures. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
4. The transaction is processed or forwarded for processing in accordance with company specific requirements. 

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2 
Process refund requests. 
OUTCOME RANGE 
Insurance cancellations, additional payments, excess payments after settlement, withdrawal in respect of interest benefit on advance.

1. The customers request for the refund is verified against existing records.

2. All company specific precautionary measures are taken before the instruction is actioned.

3. Where the refund is in respect of interest benefit on advance payments, the customer is advised of the minimum requirements to maintain the benefit.

1. The computer records are checked to ensure that the account is closed. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. The company records are checked to ensure that no payments have been returned subsequent to settlement. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The paid up letter is generated and signed in accordance with company specific requirements. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
4. The letter is dispatched in accordance with the customers instruction. 

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 4 
Process customer request to take vehicle out of the Republic of South Africa (RSA). 

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
1. Confirmation of insurance cover outside RSA borders is obtained in accordance with company specific risk management procedures. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. The risk of the vehicle leaving the RSA is assessed and the necessary action is taken. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The authorising letter is prepared and signed in accordance with company specific requirements. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
4. The letter together with a copy of the registration document specifically marked prohibiting change of registration status is dispatched in accordance with the customers instruction. 

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 5 
Process request for auditors statements or amortisation schedules.

1. The request for the auditors statement is accepted in accordance with company specific requirements. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. The auditors statement is prepared and manual calculations done in accordance with the customers request and company specific requirements. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The amortisation schedule is system generated in accordance with company specific requirements. 

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 6 
Process settlement quotation requests. 
OUTCOME RANGE 
Normal settlement, rental settlement, full maintenance operating lease settlement, full maintenance operating rental settlement, 3 months notice settlement. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
1. The request for a settlement quotation is accepted in accordance with company specific requirements. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. The settlement quotation is system generated in accordance with the customers request. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The customer is advised of the settlement figures in accordance with company specific requirements. 


UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
1. Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.

2. Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.

3. Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA according to the moderation guidelines in the relevant qualification and the agreed ETQA procedures.

Therefore anyone wishing to be assessed against this unit standard may apply to be assessed by any assessment agency, assessor or provider institution which is accredited by the relevant ETQA.

    To communicate effectively when advising the customer about interest benefits on advance payments and advising the customer about the settlement figures. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO SCIENCE 
    To use technology effectively when generating entries on the computer system, generating the paid up letter on the computer system and generating the amortisation schedule.
