PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner who has achieved this unit standard will be competent in:

Effectively completing sales transactions without supervision to ensure correct documentation of sales. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
To enter a learning programme for this unit standard or to be assessed against this unit standard, the learner is assumed to have:
  • Literacy, numeracy and communication skills at or equivalent to NQF level 1.
  • Attended the course on Introduction to Agri Trade or equivalent.
  • Care for electronic equipment and measuring instruments
  • An understanding of supplier and customer relationships at NQF level 1.
  • An understanding of General safety in work place at NQF level 1.
  • Basic computer skills at a level to be able to input transactions data on the relevant computer system.
  • Basic loss control principles in order to prevent damages and losses. 

  • UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
    The learner is expected to perform the specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard without direct supervision, but with access to work-site procedures and operating instructions. The learner is expected to handle and secure cash within set guidelines and rules as specified in work site procedures.

    The learner has to comply with the basic operational requirements with regard to the relevant statutory requirements such as the Weapons and Ammunitions Act 75 of 1996 as well as the Hazardous Substances Act 15 of 1973.

    An individual wishing to be assessed against this unit standard may apply to an assessor accredited by SETASA.

    Any training provider offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard must be registered and accredited by SETASA.

    Moderation of assessment will be done by SETASA in its ETQA capacity at its discretion.
