UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
1. The learner works autonomously under limited supervision.
2. The range of general surface grinding operations includes dressing grinding wheels, and grinding of surface of magnetic chuck, to opposite sides, flat and parallel, flat face and shoulder, two vertical faces parallel and central, angular face, slots, vees using a disk wheel or cup wheel, dovetail using a formed wheel, male or female radii, thin plate and slitting or cutting, plunge cutting. |

My assessment will be governed by the policies and guidelines of the MERSETA Education and Training Quality Assurer who has jurisdiction over this field of learning. My assessor will (at the very least) be accredited and have a technical qualification in this learning area.
