Communicate effectively, in oral and written modes, and to articulate and promote their own ideas and interests. 5. Understand and contribute to the socio-economic challenges of developing South Africa in an ethical and responsible manner. |
| ASSOCIATED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA |
| 1. Display specialised scholastic and advanced research skills in an Economic and Management Sciences Discipline.
2. Demonstrate the ability to identify, analyse and solve commercial problems in a systematic, critical and creative way. 3. Acquire specialised understanding of how to manage resources and processes in a business context. 4. Communicate effectively, in oral and written modes, and to articulate and promote their own ideas and interests. 5. Understand and contribute to the socio-economic challenges of developing South Africa in an ethical and responsible manner. Integrated assessment: The Faculty has adopted a dual system of attaining a Master's i.e. full thesis or course work with research report/mini thesis. With course work a number of assessment events administered throughout the year and a variety of assessment instruments are used (for example: tests, essays and project reports). With a full research Master's, assessments are conducted by a supervisor, internal examiner and external supervisor. |
| ARTICULATION OPTIONS |
| Vertical articulation - On completion, students may progress to doctoral qualification at any other higher education institution. The quality of performance at level 7 may determine access to the higher level.
Horizontal articulation - Transfer of credits between institutions will depend on the respective learning programmes and unique articulation of different institutions. |
| MODERATION OPTIONS |
| The recommended moderating body for this qualification is the Higher Education Quality Committee of the Council for Higher Education. |
| CRITERIA FOR THE REGISTRATION OF ASSESSORS |
| Qualified internal and external specialists, who have masters and doctorate degrees in the relevant subjects, are used. |
