| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| (a) The general purpose is to provide a programme which gives a general introduction to the different branches of theology. It enables students without appropriate theological training, to obtain a broader orientation and understanding of the unique identity of theology as a scientific enterprise.
(b) To serve as a bridging programme for students coming from other disciplines of study who want to further their postgraduate theological training and studies. It also serves as an entry point for students with inappropriate undergraduate theological training who wants to enter into the Masters programme. (c) To equip students who cannot afford a long training programme but need an introduction in theology and ministry. It opens up avenues for specialisation especially for those students who need a more focused postgraduate training in theology |
