PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is intended for individuals who assist with administrative tasks related to marketing, market research and promotions in the organisation.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Understanding the relationship between public relations and marketing.
  • Knowing how public relations can assist in the marketing effort.
  • Assisting in determining market attitude towards a product and/or company.
  • Explaining the objectives and elements of effective promotions.
  • Assist with administrative/support duties related to the promoting of a product or service of the organisation.
