PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is for people who are involved in, or contemplating involvement in, the framing and/ or scrutinising of Customs entries for the purposes of Customs and Excise Storage Warehouse operations and the removal of goods in bond and in transit.
Individuals who are credited with this Unit Standard will be able to accurately complete Bills of Entry and Vouchers of Correction which achieve the following purposes :
! Removal of goods into, and out of bond,
! Removal of goods in bond direct within the Customs Union and in transit through the Customs Union Countries.
! Transfer of ownership of goods in bond

1. Prepare Customs Worksheets, using the information contained in source documents, and applying the principles, processes and procedures of tariff classification, customs valuation, duty and tax calculation.

2. Prepare and declare Bill of Entries and Vouchers of Correction for the purposes of Customs and Excise Storage Warehouse operations and/or the removal of goods in bond and/or in transit.

3. Frame in Bond and ex Warehouse Bills of Entry and Vouchers of Correction, in compliance with the relevant sections of the Customs Act.

! Schedules 1 to 4 of the Customs Act and Rules,
! Customs Guide to Completion of Bills of Entry and Voucher of Correction
to the preparation and declaration of this type of Bill of Entry and Voucher of Correction, manually and utilising computer technology
3. Prepare and check Bills of Entry and Vouchers of Correction to a nil rejection standard, within a time frame which meets industry norms, by applying the principles, processes and procedures used in declaring imported goods to Customs, in the Forwarding and Clearing Industry and Customs.
