PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for people involved in any aspect of organising the private sale of agricultural products, livestock and game.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Arranging sales of agricultural products, livestock and game.
  • Conducting private sales of agricultural products, livestock and game.
  • Selecting and preparing agricultural products, livestock and game for private sale and/or auctioning.
  • Explaining the auction of agricultural products, livestock and game for a single seller.

    It is assumed that learners are competent in Mathematical Literacy and Communication at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.

  • An individual wishing to be assessed (including through RPL) against this unit standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA, or by an QTQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
