PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
Learners are required to access background information from memory during an interpreting task and therefore need to develop memory competencies in a way that assists interpreting in a technically correct way. The purpose of learning is ultimately the enhancement of working memory for interpreting purposes by means of categorising information for easy access from memory. The competencies attained for credit against this unit standard include aspects of information retention.
