PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This Unit Standard is intended for elected political leaders and public sector officials involved with the service delivery activities at a top strategic level. This Unit Standard will enable the learner to examine contemporary conditions of conflict, complexity and uncertainty in governance and decision making. The learner will be able to examine the issues surrounding regionalisation, regionalism, decentralisation, deinstitutionalisation and governance. The learner will also be able to analyse the implications for participation, for non-state actors and for conceptions of place, space and hierarchies.
