The person credited with this unit standard is able to explain the key concepts and critical elements relating to records and archive management and the principles underlying corporate and public governance. Learners will also be able to explain the impact, purpose and application of statutory requirement in the field of records and archives management.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Explaining the legal prescripts that influence records and archives management activities.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the impact of statutory requirements on records and archives management.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the purpose and application of statutory requirements.
