PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Repairing, without supervision, bags and tarpaulins to ensure effective utilisation. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Literacy, numeracy and communication skills at or equivalent to NQF level 1.

Attended a course on Introduction to Grain Handling or equivalent.

An understanding of General safety in the work place at NQF level 1. 

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
The scope of this unit standard deals with the sorting, classifying and repairing of bags and tarpaulins as well as the stacking of repaired material.

The specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard are performed without direct supervision, but with access to work site procedures and operating instructions.
