PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The qualifying learner will acquire knowledge of the scope and nature of lifting, positioning and securing steel structures. This includes communicating with the lifting plant operator to ensure the correct positioning of the components or sections of the steel structure. Learners who achieve the applied competence described in this unit standard will contribute to the development of a professional community of structural steel erectors within the construction industry.
