PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
This qualification is registered at level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework. It provides learners with the opportunity to access learning in Agri Sales and Services, which include opportunities for learners to grow in the specific field.
Learners will be able to combine fundamental, core and elective unit standards in order to gain competence linked to best practice. Learners will, once qualified and assessed as competent, be able to demonstrate competence in ordering, receiving, pricing, storing, selling and marketing of merchandise as well as implementing and running promotions. Learners will demonstrate an understanding of broader business principles such as interpretation of financial reports applicable to the Agri Trade as well as coordinating promotional activities, customer service and supervision of people. |
LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING |
Learners will have attained a qualification at NQF level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework or will have demonstrated competence at this level through recognition of prior learning.

ASSOCIATED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA |
INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT:
Learners will produce evidence of the following: * Verbal and written explanations of reasons for adhering to operational- and work site procedures as well as statutory requirements, adhering to specific sequence of operations, taking corrective actions, identifying, recording and reporting deviations and data capturing. * Demonstrations of a range of administrative transactions, receiving, checking, pricing and controlling of stock, coordinating, implementing and running promotions, marketing merchandise and providing customer service in the work place. * Using a range of computer hardware to input data on the computer system and producing information to make decisions. |
INTERNATIONAL COMPARABILITY |
This qualification is comparable to the equivalent Nieu Zealand qualification. |
MODERATION OPTIONS |
Anyone assessing a learner against this qualification must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.
Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this qualification, or assessment against this qualification must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA. Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA according to agreed ETQA procedures. Therefore anyone wishing to be assessed against this qualification may apply to be assessed by any assessment agency, assessor or provider institution, which is accredited by the relevant ETQA. |
